A camera thats seen the best of days and better days, the original Contax 1, produced in competition against Leicas booming sales, the Contax was flawed, and later replaced after 4 years. Serial number dictates this was builtin 1933/34
Surprisingly this thing still works ok for its age, the shutter fires at all speeds (accurately is to be argued), its wound on via the front dial which is turned clockwise, you then lift that dial up and turn it to your set speed, whilst the shutter is cocked, you can turn the rear most knurled dial counter-clockwise to set the shutter speeds you want to fire at!
Focus dial on the body works, frame counter works and is reset manually, finder clear, RF is dim and mis-aligned on the vertical. film bay clean and has its spool.
Lens is the Zeiss Jena 50mm f3.5, rear element and internals I'd say are 'ok', front element has cleaning and coating marks which'll lead to a loss of clarity and contrast, apertures work okay.
Comes with orignal case which has had some work done to it.

The exception to this is our film and digital compact cameras which come with a 1 month warranty.
This does not cover accidental damage.

If you change your mind or aren't feeling the camera/lens/equipment we can refund your order up to 14 days after purchase on items ordered online only. We cannot refund items purchased or collected in store unless faulty.
If your camera is faulty or not working up to 30 days after purchase, we will offer a refund or exchange. This does not cover accidental damage.
The vast majority of our cameras do not qualify for reclaimable VAT in the UK.
For orders shipped internationally, any local taxes will be added when clearing clearing customs locally.
Any orders from within the EU will be subject to local VAT.

Pictures and ratings of our cameras
We photograph each individual item that comes into our store. If something is without a photo it will be updated shortly. If you are interested in one of our cameras and would like further photos please get in touch.
Cameras are all rated on condition by our experienced team. We test rigorously before stocking items and give each product a fair rating on aesthetic and working condition.

Returns
